How iTaobuy QC photos work
iTaobuy opens a product from the marketplace link itself (product-detail?url= followed by the listing), so the finder only needs to unwrap it. Paste one and see the QC photos other buyers received for that exact item. Nothing to install: it works in the browser on a phone or a computer.
QC photos are the pictures an agent's warehouse takes of an item after the seller has delivered it and before it ships abroad. iTaobuy takes them of your own order; this finder shows you the ones other buyers already received for the same listing, so you can judge a seller's current batch before you pay for anything.
The photos belong to the seller's listing, not to the agent that took them, which is why photos from other agents' warehouses apply to an iTaobuy order just as well. On this spreadsheet 1655 finds already have photos on record; they are marked QC on every listing page.
The listings behind these photos sit on Chinese marketplaces such as Taobao, Weidian and 1688, and an agent buys from them on your behalf.

What to look for in QC photos
Measure, don't guess
A photo with a tape measure in it is worth more than any size chart. Match the number against a piece you own that fits, and the letter on the tag stops mattering.
When not to reject
Creasing from packing, lighting that makes a colour look warm or cool, a bit of lint: a photo exaggerates all of these. If you are unsure, ask for another photo; that is a normal request.
The print or logo
Compare proportions and letter spacing against a photo of the genuine item, not against the seller's listing; listing photos are often lifted from the real product.
Hardware and tags
Zip pulls, buttons, rivets, care labels and the fonts on tags are cheap for a good factory to get right, which is exactly why a rushed one gives itself away there.
Ask for a measurement photo
Chinese sizing runs small and inconsistently. If you are between sizes, ask for the garment flat against a tape measure (chest across for tops, insole length for shoes) and compare it with something you own that fits.

Either nobody has ordered that exact listing yet, or no one's photos have reached a public database. It is not a sign the seller is bad, and it does not affect the photos iTaobuy takes of your own order.

What is iTaobuy?
